Institute of Technology prepares students with the skills they need to enter the medical field as a Vocational Nurse. Our program is designed to give you the knowledge and training for entry-level positions in most healthcare settings. Successful completion of our program can qualify you to take your state NCLEX-PN licensure exam.
Through our core courses, you can gain a solid foundation in English, Mathematics and Biology. In addition to these fundamental classes, you will learn how to care for patients in a laboratory setting. Our hands-on training leads you to experience your career before graduation. This preparation can give you confidence and a great understanding of how to perform your job in the real world.

As a licensed Vocational Nurse, your duties can entail:
- Providing basic nursing care
- Patient assessment and health-related patient teaching
- Performing medical treatments as prescribed
- Administering prescribed medications
- Monitoring of patient health in long-term care and acute care settings
